David Macdonald B.A., F.C.A.
The founder of The Martlet Partnership, David Macdonald qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1986. In 1994 David set about building his own firm, after rapid growth the business was incorporated forming D Macdonald & Company Limited in 2000.
Fluent in French, Spanish, Italian and Catalan; David has delivered seminars abroad and as a result has had a huge interest from clients on the continent who have come to England to set up business and prosper. He has particular experience in practice whose clients include small and start-up businesses through to international corporate groups advising on all aspects of business, accounting and taxation.
Matt Pedder B.A., F.C.A.
Matt qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001 within a small firm environment, shortly after he broadened his horizons by gaining experience within a top tier accountancy practice. Matt joined David in 2003 and was made partner in the spring of 2007.
He has particular experience in practice whose clients include small and start-up businesses through to established family-owned companies. He has particular experience in advising on growth and profitability, corporate and personal taxation.
John Pudduck F.C.C.A.
John qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1999 having already gained a wealth of experience in local accountancy practices. In the same year he joined Wolstenholme McIlwee in Worthing and managed that practice until it was acquired by The Martlet Partnership in 2007.
His specialist areas are trusts and estates, auditing and tax advice for corporate clients. In particular he advises company owners how to extract their profits in the most tax-efficient manner. His client portfolio includes sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
